Pretty In Pink Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern:

Level: easy – requires color changes

Finished Measurements: approximately 73” long x 7” wide

Materials:

  • 1 skein each (50g) size 3 light yarn; white, black, light grey, light pink.  Patons Astra yarn was uses in this example (note approximately 25g of each color was actually used)
  • 5.00mm H/8 crochet hook
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitches (U.S. standard abbreviations and terms):

            ch: chain                                 sp: space

            sl st: slip stitch                       sk: skip

            beg: beginning                      ttr: triple treble crochet

Scarf Directions

Note: to work the ttr stitch (triple treble crochet):  yarn over 4 times, insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, draw through one loop, [yarn over, draw through two loops] 5 times, one loop remaining on hook.

With white, ch39, turn

Row 1: sk first 6ch (counts as first ttr), ttr in 7th ch from hook, *[ch2, sk next 2ch, ttr in next 2ch] repeat from * 7 times more, turn (18ttr, 8 ch2 spaces)

Row 2: ch6 (counts as first ttr and ch1 sp), sk next ttr, *[work 2ttr in next ch2 sp, ch2, sk next two ttr], repeat from * 7 times more, ch1, sk next ttr, ttr in next ttr (this will be the 5th chain in the beg. ch5 space of prev. round), turn (18ttr, 7 ch2 spaces, 2 ch1 spaces)

Row 3: ch5, (counts as first ttr), ttr in next ch1 sp, *[ch2, sk next 2 ttr, work 2ttr in next ch2 sp], repeat from * 6 times more, ch2, sk next two ttr, ttr in next ch1 sp (this will be the 6th ch of the beginning ch6 from prev. row), ttr in last ttr (this will be the 5th chain in the beg. ch6 of prev. round), turn (18ttr, 8 ch2 spaces)

Repeat row 2 and 3 for the rest of the pattern, with the following color        changes:

Row 1-30 pink                                           

Row 31-40 grey                                         

Row 41-50 white  

Row 51-60 black                           

*At the end of row 72, fasten off, leaving a 20” tail – assemble scarf halves together using tapestry needle and a whip stitch.  Weave in ends

Blocking:  Hand wash with gentle detergent in cold water, lay flat to dry in desired shape using dressmaker pins if necessary
