A New Beginning 10/10/2019

On September 21/2019, I had a brain hemorrhage out of the blue in the middle of the night. That experience was likely the most frightening, yet incredible experience of my life.

Why would this be one of the most incredible experiences of my life and not one of the worst?

Having to go through something harrowing like that where I thought I might die has completely changed my outlook on life. I was already a very happy person and my life seemed to be going pretty good. I have done a lot of work on self growth and improvement over the last three years or so, and as a result of that I was feeling great in all aspects of my life.

However, there were still few small things that I didn’t even realize I needed to take care of in life until I had my brain hemorrhage.

Fortunately, today I finally got clearance from my doctor to go ahead and start doing physical activities again. I am extremely lucky, because 2/3 of people with a subarachnoid hemorrhage in the brain either die or have serious disabilities for the rest of their lives. I am still having issues with my right foot not working all the way correctly and the occasional migraine comes up along with fatigue. These may be permanent, however they are small price to pay compared to what could have happened.

So today is the day. The day I will start brand new – completely brand new. A day where I will be cutting out all remaining toxic patterns, limiting beliefs, and people in my life who are holding me back in any way, shape, or form, no matter who they are.

One realization that I had on that fateful date in September was that this is MY LIFE. An no one, or no thing is going to hold me back any longer from being me. For appreciating this precious life that God gave me, and to allow whatever is meant to be to be.

No more limiting myself because of fear. No more overthinking things and trapping myself because of past hurts or abuse from others.

NO MORE

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Anything that needs to go that isn’t serving me will be gone by the time the sun goes down today. Life is short and it is up to all of us to use our lives and not allow ourselves to be held back by things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
